Stress, depression, and anxiety are on the rise. In 2013, 23.0% (6.6 million) of Canadians aged 15 and older reported that most days were ‘quite a bit' or ‘extremely stressful’ (Health Fact Sheets – Perceived life stress, 2013, Statistic Canada). Mental health among Canadians has worsened since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sufficient recovery is crucial. Studies have proven that travel and vacation is good therapy for releasing stress and improving your overall health. According to one study, a short-term vacation might have positive effects on reducing stress, recovery, and improving well-being. Even a weekend getaway is beneficial to mental and physical health.
